Frequently Asked Questions

Who can I contact with questions and comments?

Where is the in-person hackathon happening?

  • It’s taking place at the Sorbonne in Paris on November 9, 2023. Please note your application needs to be accepted for entry.

Can regulators participate?

  • Yes! We encourage active and former regulators to join the hackathon.

Can press take part?

  • Press are welcome to join as observers but not as participants. If you’d like to cover the hackathon for a media outlet, please contact hello@tshackathon.org.

I can’t make it either in-person or remotely but want to take part. What are my options?

  • We offer an Underground participation option where you’ll get the hackathon prompt and other information but not have any deadline. You can view the final presentations, pitch your solutions to the Steering Committee, but not vote in the hackathon.

Can I take part remotely?

  • Yes! Remote and Underground participants will be given the hackathon theme and prompt at the same time as those taking part in-person. The remote participants will have their own 100% online group (Zoom meeting) with a dedicated facilitator.

What resources do I need to take part?

  • For in-person participation, you may want to bring a laptop, notebook, and snacks as desired. We will provide tables, chairs, Wi-Fi, power, meals, snacks, and beverages.
  • For remote participation, a reliable connection to the internet and your dedicated attention are all that’s required.

Can I take part as a representative of my company?

  • Participants are only taking part as private individuals and not as representatives of their company, organization, or other professional group.

Who owns what’s created at the hackathon?

  • All solutions will be open source or an equivalent type of license. The exact details will be determined by the working group and steering committee.
